The model Prototype 301 from 1947 sold for a sales price of US $ 1.4M. The Tourbillon prototype became the most expensive Omega ever sold.
The highly anticipated Geneva auction week continues to surprise watchmakers and collectors with unexpected results. After the US$6M Patek Philippe and US$1M F.P.Journe, the event gathered all the attention once again with the Omega Tourbillon Prototype 301 which was sold for US $ 1.4M.
The Tourbillon model, which the brand designed in 1947 and manufactured only a single prototype of it also became the most expensive Omega timepiece ever sold.
The model was sold to its new owner, after a battling auction mainly between three bid holders participated on the phone, with a final price of US $ 1.4M.
