Oris continues its 'Change for the Better' mission by partnering with Seoul KFEM, which is part of the Korean Environmental Movements Federation.
Oris's 'Change for the Better' mission is designed to help clean, protect, and restore water, i.e. the source of life. In line with this mission, the brand, which introduced the Baikal Limited Edition model in the first months of 2020, has now turned its direction to South Korea.
The brand says it has been encouraged by more and more people asking 'how can we work together' to reverse humanity's harmful impact on the environment over the past 50 years. In line with this valuable mission, Oris has established a worldwide partnership network with non-profit organizations and has raised funds and awareness about the problems that pose a threat to the world's water with a limited-edition series of Oris Aquis diver watches. Continuing to look for new partnerships and projects that they can support, the brand says that this is the right thing to do and deserves hearty applause.
This year, Oris partnered with the pioneer Seoul KFEM, which is part of the Korean Federation of Environmental Movements, by bringing a limited edition Oris Hangang Limited Edition to watch enthusiasts highlighting the plight of the Hangang River in South Korea. Providing water to Seoul's 10 million inhabitants, Hangang is the second-longest but most important river in South Korea. However, the river needs to be cleaned urgently.
Oris Hangang Limited Edition (Ref. 01 743 7734 4187-Set) comes with a 43.5mm modular stainless-steel case and a unidirectional rotating bezel with a ceramic insert. On the dial, there is a curved sapphire crystal glass with an anti-reflective coating on the inside. There is a map of the Hangang River on the back of the watch made of steel. The case is resistant to water pressure up to 300 meters.
Aquis diver model is powered by the automatic movement, Oris 743, that provides 38 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
Available with a price tag of 2,500 CHF, the model draws attention with its bright green dial.
Hangang, which is limited to only 2000 pieces, is completed with a stainless-steel bracelet.
