Panerai's iconic model, Luminor Marina, the high-performance composite material developed by Panerai Laboratorio di Idee, and the Sandwich dial, which carry the energy of blue, came together for the first time in the collection. This combination once again reveals the great success of LAB-ID.
The high-tech composite material consists of combined carbon fiber layers. First, the layers are aligned, then PEEK (Polyether Ether Ketone) based binder matrix is bonded and reinforced under pressure and adjusted heat. Highly resistant to impacts and wear, this material also offers a distinctive appearance thanks to its unique texture.
Panerai Luminor Marina Carbotech's 44mm diameter case resists water pressure up to 300 meters. The watch's bezel is also made of the same material as the case, and the 12-sided, screw-back case is made of DLC-coated titanium. Let us add that the timepiece weighs only 96 grams despite its bold wrist presence.
Luminor Marina Carbotech beats with the manufacture Caliber P.9010. Designed and produced in the brand's workshop in Neuchâtel the self-winding movement is equipped with the Incabloc anti-impact system and can provide a 3-day power reserve when fully wound.
The watch's sandwich-style dial features blue accents. The small seconds sub-dial is located at 9 o'clock while the date display is present at 3 o'clock.
A black rubber-like waterproof Panerai Sportech strap that is adorned with blue stitching and secured by a titanium buckle with black DLC coating complements the Panerai Luminor Marina Carbotech.
