Patek Philippe presented the second part of the 2021 novelties to watch lovers with a live launch featuring the brand's CEO, Thierry Stern. Another remarkable model among the brand’s new models is the Ref. 4947/1A-001, equipped with the Annual Calendar feature.
The famous brand offered its Annual Calendar feature, which was introduced into the watch terminology in 1996, in models only made of precious materials such as gold and platinum until now. The newly introduced Ref: 4947 / 1A-001 not only broke this tradition but also host another first with its Calatrava style case.
The new model comes in a relatively compact Calatrava style case measuring 38mm x 11mm. The case features fully polished surfaces as well as sapphire crystals on both sides. The elegant case that hosts recessed pushers that adjust the calendar functions besides the Patek Philippe signed winding crown can withstand water pressure up to 30 meters.
Patek Phillipe Annual Calendar Ref: 4947 / 1A-001 comes with a blue dial decorated with a surface pattern, which the brand calls "Shantung". The dial, which hosts white gold applique numeral indices and leaf-style hands, displays day, month, date, and moon phase functions.
The new model comes to life with the manufacture Caliber 324 S QA LU. The self-winding movement, wound by a full-size centered rotor made of solid 21K gold, operates at a frequency of 4Hz (28.800vph) and offers up to 45 hours of power reserve when fully wound. 34-jewels/328 parts movement also includes advanced technology features such as Gyromax balance and Spiromax balance spring.
Patek Phillipe Annual Calendar Ref: 4947 / 1A-001 comes with a five-piece stainless steel bracelet. A Patek Philippe signed folding clasp secures the modernistic bracelet, which offers a stylish contrast with the classic layout of the dial. The MSRP for the new model is EUR 41,700.
