Nautilus family, one of Patek Philippe's most popular series, has met its highly anticipated new members as we approach the end of 2022. Among the models introduced is the 5811, the successor of the 5711 model, which is known as one of the milestones for watches with integrated bracelets.
Swiss watch giant Patek introduced four new Nautilus models. The references are 5811G, 5712R, 5990A, and 7118R.
We can say that the 5811G is a three-hand Nautilus model that was produced to replace the 5711A model, which was retired after storming the watch industry in the last years of its life. The new model draws attention with its growing case dimensions. The material of the model, which has a 41mm x 8.2mm case, is 18K white gold. We do not know whether the extraordinary interest in the previous model had a role in Patek's abandonment of stainless steel in this model. The 120 meters water resistance value of the watch is the same. The model, which has sapphire crystals on both sides, has a bracelet made of 18K white gold and a clasp that allows precise adjustment. The 5811G has an automatic Caliber 26-330 S C in the case. The caliber with a 45-hour power reserve has a date complication. On the dial of the model, unlike the previous version, the date window is enclosed in a frame and the dial color changes from blue in the center to black on the edges.
For the first time throughout the years of its production, the 5712 appears in front of its fans with an 18K rose gold case/bracelet and brown dial combination. The case measuring 40mm x 8.52mm has sapphire crystals on both sides and is water resistant up to 60 meters. Patek Philippe has also included a new type of folding clasp bracelet in 5712R. At the heart of the watch is the micro-rotor automatic Caliber 240 PS IRM C LU. The caliber, which has a 48-hour power reserve, beats at 21600 vibrations per hour and includes the moon phase, small seconds, power reserve, and date complications.
5990A; The chronograph Nautilus, which upset many watch lovers with the end of the production of its previous model, is finally here again with its new dial. The model, which has a stainless steel case and bracelet, which we rarely see in Patek Philippe catalogs, measures 40.5mm x 12.53mm. The water resistance value of the watch, which is completed with sapphire crystals on both sides, is 120 meters. As with the other models of the series, the 5990A is one of the sportiest Patek Philippe models, with a new type of adjustable folding clasp bracelet. We can say that the biggest difference between the watch compared to the old version is the dial color. The dial tone, which starts from blue in the center, turns black as it gets closer to the edges. The watch houses the automatic Caliber CH 28-520 C FUS movement. The 34-jewel movement, which has a 55-hour power reserve and beats at 28800 vibrations per hour, features a flyback chronograph, dual time zone tracking, day-night indicator, date, and small seconds complications.
The 7118R proves that the brand also considers its female followers. The 7118R, which measures 35.2mm x 8.62mm, has an 18K rose gold case and a gold bracelet, is completed with sapphire crystal, and has a water resistance value of up to 60 meters. The watch features cognac-colored spessartine indices on the wave-patterned pink dial, and 68 baguette-cut spessartines in champagne and cognac tones are used on the bezel. The total weight of the 79 gemstones used in the watch is 2.38 carats. The 7118R comes to life with the automatic Caliber 324 S C offering a 45-hour power reserve.
