Ressence, one of the unique names of independent brands, introduced a new model to honor the watchmaking craft and traditional art of the Arab world.
Celebrating six years of collaboration with luxury retailer Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, Ressence announced the Type 1 DX3, a limited-edition model that seamlessly blends Arabic mosaic patterns with cloisonné (enamel) art.
DX3, the latest version built on Type 1 Round platform and introduced this year, comes with a pebble-shaped case, weighing only 64 grams, made of polished Grade 5 titanium alloy, designed with a diameter of 42.7 mm and a height of 11 mm. On the back of the case is a retractable lever that replaces the crown for winding and setting. The elegant case profile offers impeccable harmony with the AR-coated double-domed sapphire crystal that protects the dial.
The convex German silver dial, filled with "Cloisonné" and Super-LumiNova and plated in rose gold, presents a familiar yet unique desert-coloured image inspired by Arabian Geometric Art. The "Cloisonné" design glows in the dark with a subtle green glow. The subdials and main disc are in constant motion, powered by Ressence's patented "Ressence Orbital Convex System" and driven by the customized ETA 2892-based caliber's minute shaft. In the central part of the dial, sand-colored circles surround three eccentric dual-axis satellites for the hours, seconds, and days of the week. The peripheral minute scale is engraved in a sand-colored compound, and all indices and hands are filled with Super-LumiNova. With a 36-hour power reserve, Ressence Type 1 DX3 is only splash-proof.
Ressence Type 1 DX3 comes with a beige rubber strap with an ardillon buckle, its production is limited to 35 pieces, and its price is stated as 23,600 CHF (excluding taxes).
