One of the first names that came to mind when it gets to exotic timepieces, Richard Mille introduced its new model RM 53-01, which is designed exclusively for Argentine polo player Pablo Mac Donough.
The RM 53-01 is the second timepiece the brand designed exclusively for Pablo Mac Donough, and it bears all the characteristic details of Richard Mille.
The model’s case is made of Carbon TPT, which is obtained by baking 600 pieces of maximum 30 micrometer thick carbon layers placed on top of each other with 45 degrees angle at 120 degrees temperature and under6ATM pressure. Than the case is tonneau shaped by using the most precise CNC machines. Measuring 44.5mm x 49.94mm x 16.15mm, the case maintains its undisputed leadership in lightness, comfort and durability.
RM 53-01 is 50 meters water resistant with its laminated sapphire crystal. The movement is designed to withstand up to 5000G impacts thank to its unique suspension system featuring 10 pulleys and mesh wires.
The 19 jewels and 3Hz Tourbillon movement which is mounted in the case with four tensioners and equipped with titanium bridges. Let me add that all those parts that are visible to the eye is hand finished. Last but not least, the winding crown is specially designed with a torque limiter in order to prevent possible damages due to over-winding.
The new model comes on a blue rubber strap but it is possible to select from countless Richard Mille strap alternatives for a different look. The model is limited to a span of 30 units only with 900.000 USD retail price.
