Rolex GMT-Master II 126713 & 126718 – GRNR

The Rolex GMT-Master II model family, one of the unchanging classics of the second time zone display models, is under the spotlight with the newly added 18K yellow gold and Jubilee bracelet detailed models.

One of the most popular watches among Rolex's professional models: the GMT-Master II. The reason is obvious; Functionality, elegance, sportiness, and usefulness in one watch. With the GMT hand and the bidirectional rotating bezel, three different time zones can be followed at the same time. While the sporty case offers perhaps the best proportions in the industry with a diameter of 40mm and a total thickness of 12mm, its 100-meter water resistance value provides its user with adequate protection for average water activities. In short, the Rolex GMT-Master II redefines versatility.

The two new GMT-Master II models introduced at the 2023 Watches & Wonders fair impressed me much more than their features listed in black and white. I've never been a fan of yellow-gold watches. On the other hand, I would find the Jubilee bracelet too "old man’s choice". Shiny bracelet links weren't for me anyway. Well, rules are meant to be broken. First, I succumbed to the comfort of the Jubilee, then marveled at the glamor of the shiny center links. I think I'll start to like the yellow gold with the new GMT-Master II models.

As you know, this model uses bi-colored ceramic bezel inserts. Depending on the model you choose, there are color combinations of blue-black, red-blue, green-black, or brown-black. In the new model, we encounter a gray and black color combination, which I must admit is the most elegant GMT bezel insert I've ever seen.

It seems that Rolex has prepared the new GMT-Master II models with a perfect recipe. The harmony of black and gray tones with yellow gold is a benchmark. The yellow GMT-Master II lettering on the dial and the yellow gold GMT hand are also two of the nice details unique to the model.

The bezel, crown, center links, hands, and indices of the Rolesor (Stainless Steel/18K Yellow Gold) model are made of 18K yellow gold. In the all-gold model, as the name suggests, there is nothing other than yellow gold. I think it may be exciting for many of us to even think about the extraordinary combination that 126718 CHNR will achieve with black denim and a sweater.

Both models are powered by the Caliber 3285 movement. The automatic movement, which offers a power reserve time of up to 70 hours when fully wound, redefines the industry standards with its daily accuracy rate of +/- 2 seconds.

The Jubilee bracelet models, which are completed with a 5mm extension Easylink mechanism folding clasp, are at the top with their user-friendly second time zone display feature, unrivaled wrist comfort, and superior Rolex quality.
