TAG Heuer introduced a series of two different special edition models dedicated to Manchester United, one of the legendary football clubs of the world. We have the TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer 01 Manchester United Special Edition (Ref. CAR201M.FT6156) model here under the loupe.

The new models are designed in the highly acclaimed Carrera Heuer 01 and the entry-level Formula 1 collections. We decided to have a close look at the Carrera Heuer 01 Manchester United Special Edition model.
The new model is based on the modern Carrera Heuer 01 platform, which was added to the TAG Heuer’s product range back in 2015. The model is offered in a Carrera Heuer 01 style case that we are familiar with from the current models in the collection with a 43mm diameter. The stainless steel case is water resistant to 100 meters / 10 bars, like the other versions in the collection, and equipped with scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides. The sapphire crystal display on the case back is decorated with a red Manchester United logo. The tachymeter bezel also offers an engraving of Manchester United. The chronograph pushers are marked with black and red rings while the large winding crown is rubber coated in black.
The dial of the new model is designed in skeleton style with Tri-Compax chronograph lay out. The large Arabic numeral indices are accompanied with baton style hands that are filled with red Super LumiNOVA phosphor material. There is a Manchester United logo in the same red color located at 9 o’clock. The minute scale chapter ring is also red.
The new model is powered by the Caliber Heuer 1 movement. Self-winding movement is equipped with a column-wheel chronograph and a date display function besides its time-keeping feature. The movement beats at a frequency of 4Hz (28.800vph) and offers a power reserve of up to 50 hours. Visible through the sapphire crystal display case back (and the skeleton dial), the movement is decorated with details exclusive to the model such as bridges decorated with Geneva stripes, a blackened rotor and the column wheel highlighted in red.
TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer 01 Manchester United Special Edition (Ref. CAR201M.FT6156) comes on a red perforated rubber strap secured by a safety folding clasp.
The model retails for CHF 5,500.
