TAG Heuer added a new limited version to the legendary model family Monaco, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in recent years. The model, which attracts attention with its green dial, the popular color of recent times, was attributed to the famous Grand Prix Monaco Historique automobile race, which the brand sponsored.
The race, which was canceled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, was run between April 23-25 this year. TAG Heuer, one of the main sponsors of the race, in which more than 200 vehicles from 50 brands participated, crowned this meaningful event with a limited edition Monaco model.
The new model comes in a modern Monaco case designed in 39mm x 39mm dimensions. On the front of the stainless steel case, a box-type (high-edged) sapphire crystal, and on the back, a sapphire crystal display case back functions. The case, which is water-resistant up to 100 meters, is accompanied by rounded wide chronograph pushers and a winding crown with TAG Heuer emblem.
The new model features a dial designed in green tones, the popular color of recent times. The gradient dial, which gets darker from the center, is accompanied by two black sub-dials with a square design following the case. At 6 o'clock, there is a small second counter and the date window.
TAG Heuer Monaco Green Dial Caliber Heuer 02 Limited Edition is powered by the in-house Caliber Heuer 02 movement. The automatic movement, which offers hour, minute, small seconds, and date functions as well as a column-wheel coordinator and vertical clutch chronograph feature, offers up to 80 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
The model, which is produced with only 500 pieces, is accompanied by a black alligator strap and a folding clasp with the TAG Heuer emblem. The list price for the model, which is planned to reach the sales points by the end of April, is EUR 6,300.
