TAG Heuer returns with another Nintendo collaboration celebrating the Mario Kart franchise. The famous brand is preparing to give watch lovers a nostalgic experience with two new models inspired by the Mario Kart series.
The first of the models introduced in the collection is the TAG Heuer Formula 1 X Mario Kart Limited Edition Chronograph, which is limited to 3000 pieces. It comes in a 44mm steel case embellished with cute little Mario Kart allusions and the Mario Kart logo printed on the black polished ceramic tachymeter bezel. As a beautiful Easter egg, the date window also incorporates classic Mario Kart elements, including a banana and Bullet Bill instead of a date number. The list price for the model, which comes to life with the automatic chronograph Caliber 16 movement, is 4,300 USD.
The other model in the new collection includes the Tourbillon feature, a complication that never goes out of fashion. TAG Heuer Formula 1 X Mario Kart Limited Edition Tourbillon Chronograph, which is limited to only 250 pieces, comes with a 45mm diameter case made of Grade 5 titanium alloy. The sporty case reveals the watch's Heuer 02T movement and its rotor embroidered with Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach silhouettes, thanks to the sapphire crystal case back. On the front, a large open dial at the six o'clock position reveals the watch's rotating 60-second tourbillon with a dial featuring Mario on a go-kart being chased by Bullet Bill and a dreaded blue shell. The list price for the model is 25,600 USD.
Both watches come on a lined black calfskin strap with contrasting red stitching and a special embossed pattern. The folding clasp also features the Mario 'M' symbol. The watches are available in exclusively developed black watch cases and matching travel cases.
It is possible to register for early access to the chronograph model on the official website until October 17th. The Chronograph Tourbillon model is not yet on sale, but if you are interested in the model, it is a good idea to register for notifications about availability.
