The Most Beautiful Shade of Green- Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Green

Green color lovers, do not decide on your new watch without reading this article.

In the world of watches, some trends have always become popular and eventually have lost their glory. For example, oversized watches adorned the catalogs of many brands yet this trend has now begun to leave its place to smaller models. In addition, watches with integrated bracelets have started to become widespread again. There was a great interest in pilot's watches at one time. In the 70s, watches with quartz movements were popular. These examples can be reproduced for pages, but there is a trend we all witness that almost all watch brands, from the entry-level to the top ones, have kept up with. Yes, I am talking about the green dial watches.

The favorite color of recent years, green, has had the chance to show itself in countless models. So far, we have had the opportunity to see dozens of shades of green on both the dial and the bezel. I am not a fan of this color. Instead, I like traditional colors such as black or white, or bolder tones such as blue, red, and salmon. However, I “finally” came across a green-dial watch that would make me change my mind.

Here we are with the new Omega Seamaster, the latest member of the Diver 300M family. The full name of the model is Omega Seamaster Diver 300M Co-Axial Master Chronometer 42mm (Ref: 210.30.42.20.10.001 - for the green rubber strap version of the same watch, the number 30 on the second digit is changed to 32.) The watch is one of the most important details of my interest in James Bond movies. No matter what anyone says, the Bond watch is the Omega Seamaster 300M, and naturally, the Omega brand and especially this model have a special place for James Bond fans. Well, since I will not be able to go and buy an Aston Martin from the dealer, it is a better decision for me to focus on the Omega Seamaster.

So, what makes this watch special? The Omega Seamaster is a tool made for professionals, as can be seen from the Professional inscription on its dial. I can’t call it a watch because the details on this mechanical masterpiece take it to a much higher level than a wristwatch. The 42mm case size may seem large in black and white, but the 50mm distance between the lower and upper lugs ensures maximum comfort on most wrists, whether small or large. The thickness of 13.7mm is also very reasonable considering the water resistance value of the watch. Sapphire crystals are placed on the front and back sides of the model, which has a 20mm lug width. The helium escape valve at 10 o'clock is also a Seamaster classic.

The detail that made me review the watch with such enthusiasm is, of course, the tone of green used on the dial and bezel. Depending on the amount of light around you and the angle at which this light hits the watch, the bezel and dial offer dynamic games where you can capture every tone between dark gray and green, raising the charm of the watch to an extraordinary level. Since the bezel and dial are made of ceramic, they offer unrivaled performance in the categories of both durability, unique brightness, and legibility. The hands on the dial and the dot on the 12-line of the bezel glow in the dark with blue and green colors thanks to Super-LumiNOVA. Round and rectangular indices on the dial offer the maximum legibility you can expect from a diver's watch. The date window positioned at 6 o'clock without disturbing the symmetry of the dial is another detail that increases the functionality.

When we turn the back of the watch, we encounter the sapphire crystal and behind it the in-house automatic Caliber 8800 with its breathtaking beauty. The 8800 is one of the rare calibers that can combine functionality and visual beauty. This movement conquers your mind with its functional features such as durability, longevity, usefulness, wide service intervals, and high accuracy, and your heart with its visual features such as meticulous craftsmanship and unique architecture. The METAS-certified caliber proves itself with its features such as high magnetic resistance and unique chronometric performance. The 26mm diameter movement has the Co-Axial escapement system developed by George Daniels. The 35 jewels caliber beats at a frequency of 25200vph and offers a 55-hour power reserve when fully wound.

Omega offers this model with stainless steel bracelet and rubber strap options as in other versions of the series. With the removable full and half links on the stainless steel bracelet, the Seamaster 300M suits every wrist perfectly. Moreover, thanks to the micro-adjustment feature in the clasp, you can make instant adjustments. The rubber strap, which is produced in a color compatible with the dial and bezel, is the perfect match for summer days. You can always change the face of your watch with the attractive and high-quality NATO strap options produced by Omega.

Long story short, the Seamaster 300M Diver becomes an unrivaled diver's watch in its category, thanks to the features it offers, its price scale, and, more importantly, its availability through authorized sales channels. The new green version is definitely worth checking out. Of course, do not make your final decision without trying the black, blue, and white options.
