Today, Breitling unveiled its 2021 innovations at its online product launch event, consisting of six models, all focus on the 1940s and divided into three separate categories.
Focusing on the Superocean of the 1950s and the Chronomat models of the 1980s in the past year, the brand continues its time travel this year as well. Redesigned models inspired by the 1940s take their place in the product group as Chronograph, Duograph, and Datora.
Premier Heritage B09 Chronograph
Inspired by the brand's history full of firsts and successful inventions in traditional luxury watchmaking, the collection shares mutual details such as large numeral indices, vintage-inspired hands, and alligator straps with tone-on-tone stitching. The case, which hosts the models, does not break its connection with modern times with its 40mm diameter and 100 meters water resistance, which is an excellent value for a classic-themed chronograph. The COSC certified Breitling Manufacture Caliber B09, based on the brand's in-house movement Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01, powers the new models.
Premier Heritage B15 Duograph 42
The new models in the Premier Collection, herald the return of the Duograph model, which was debuted in 1944. The new Premier Heritage Duograph models feature the rattrapante function, one of the challenging complications of watchmaking, which allows the user to measure two different lap times at the same time thanks to two overlapping chronograph hands.
The new models beat by the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B15, a hand-wound movement like the one in the original Duograph model, offering a power reserve of up to 70 hours. Models with a diameter of 42mm, which do not compromise on legibility with their simple dial designs, are available in stainless steel case/blue dial or 18K rose gold case/black dial alternatives.
Premier Heritage B25 Datora 42
The 42mm Premier Heritage Datora, which is among the novelties of this year, draws attention with its day, date, moon, and moon phase features, just like its predecessor introduced in the 1940s. The models that come to life with the only automatic movement in the Premier Heritage collection, Manufacture Caliber B25, are available with stainless steel case/copper dial and 18K rose gold case/silver dial versions.
The models, which successfully reflect the vintage theme with their applique Arabic indexes and retro-inspired fonts, are accompanied by brown alligator straps and folding clasps prepared following the case material.
