The New Hamilton Khaki Field Expedition Collection

Hamilton, one of the cult names of the watch world, introduced its new Khaki Field Expedition Collection.

The well-established brand, which continues its activities within the Swatch Group, continues to be a favorite of watch enthusiasts, especially with its military-themed and field-style models. Hamilton, which offers a wide range of products that stand out with their quality and unrivaled price/performance ratio that redefines the standards of entry-level Swiss mechanical watches, meets watch lovers once again with its new exploration-themed collection.

Let's take a closer look at the new model family, where the brand's glorious past and vast experience in the tool watch concept are blended with the technologies of modern times.

The new collection includes a total of 8 new references offered in 37mm and 41mm case sizes. The models, which form the small subgroup of the series with dimensions of 37mm x 10.45mm, draw a profile in line with the downsizing trend that has increased its influence in the watch industry in recent years while guaranteeing a comfortable experience on almost every wrist. Large models designed in 41mm x 11mm dimensions highlight the sporty theme of the collection. Sapphire crystal glasses serve on the front and back of the cases made of stainless steel. There is also a bezel with a compass marking on the front of the cases. The bidirectional rotating bezel, marked with the cardinal directions, helps you determine your route with the help of the Sun. To determine approximate compass positions, simply set the hour hand to the direction of the Sun and then set the South “S” to the midpoint between 12 o'clock and the hour hand, but this function is only available in the Northern Hemisphere and in regular time (not Daylight Saving Time). The sporty cases, complete with a screw-lock crown, are water-resistant up to 100 meters.

The collection includes black, blue, and white dial options. Promising fast and clear readability in almost any environment thanks to the Super-LumiNOVA phosphor application, the time is tracked with nickel-plated hands and large numeral indices on the dial.

All models are powered by the Powermatic80-based Caliber H10, which we are familiar with from Swatch Group entry and mid-segment brands. The caliber, which is considered one of the most successful automatics of recent times with a power reserve of up to 80 hours when fully wound, thanks to its 3Hz (21,600vph) oscillation frequency, can be viewed through the sapphire crystal display case back.
