Harry Winston, who took its first step into the world of luxury watchmaking in 1989, succeeded in integrating its founder's love of precious stones and elegant jewelry designs into the complicated yet technological world of watches.

The Ocean Collection, which has a contemporary design with round cases made of gold, is home to some of the most valuable complications in luxury watchmaking. Harry Winston Ocean Biretrograde Automatic 42mm offers two brand-specific features to its users: off-centered hours and minutes along with dual retrograde indicators.

Like all models in the Ocean collection, the two arches, inspired by the large domed door opening to Harry Winston's Flagship Hall on Fifth Avenue, adorn the winding crown. Ocean Biretrograde Automatic 42mm comes in an 18K white gold case. The case, water-resistant to 100 meters, is equipped with glare-proof sapphire crystals while the bezel and the lugs are gem-set with diamonds

The elegant dial of the watch, which is adorned by 127 diamonds, mimics the curves and lines of the case with wide arcs and rings. A full ring of diamonds surrounds the off-centered hour and minute counter on the upper half of the bright white mother-of-pearl dial. In the lower half of the dial, both retrograde indicators showing seconds and days are also decorated with half diamond rings as well as Guilloché patterns.

To create a sense of depth and volume in the dial, the main counters attract the attention towards the circular date window by slightly raising it over the small diamond-set triangle. The elegant hands are Super-LumiNOVA applied, while a magnifier is located above the date window.

The retrograde second's function follows the arc from zero to thirty and then jumps back to zero with a counterclockwise movement. The counter, which shows the days of the week, runs every 24 hours, and every Sunday, it makes a large jump when it is midnight.

Ocean Biretrograde Automatic 42mm ticks with the automatic movement Caliber HW3305, which offers 65 hours of power reserve when fully wound. Equipped with an 18K white gold rotor and adorned with meticulous hand-finishing, the movement is fully enjoyable through the sapphire crystal display case back.
