Legendary musician Jimi Hendrix and Woodstock, which are very well known by anyone who is more or less interested in music, are remembered by Raymond Weil’s Freelancer Jimi Hendrix model.
In the 50th anniversary of the legendary music festival Woodstock, independent Swiss watchmaker Raymond Weil addressed the music lovers with a limited edition Freelancer model in memory of Jimi Hendrix, one of the best guitarists ever.
Inspired by the white Fender Stratocaster guitar played by Jimi Hendrix at the Woodstock festival in 1969, the watch’s dial offers remarkable details. The indexes on the dial are inspired by the frets while the circular lines are inspired by the strings of the guitar. The second hand of Freelancer takes its color from Jimi Hendrix’s blue trousers at Woodstock and the tip of his guitar. The details are so thoughtful that Jimi’s left-handedness and playing of the guitar are not forgotten, and the neck’s posture is transferred to the second hand.
In the Jimi Hendrix Limited Edition (Ref. 7730-STC-JHDX1), the day and date window are at 3 o’clock, the 30-minute counter is at 12, and the 12-hour counter is at 6 o’clock.
The automatic chronograph movement provides 48 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
The Freelancer Jimi Hendrix comes with a 42mm gray PVD coated stainless steel case. The ‘Authentic Hendrix ’logo is located on the sapphire crystal display case backThe case is resistant to water pressure up to 100 meters.
The watch is limited to only 500 units and comes in a blue-and-white box, which includes a certificate signed by Janie Hendrix, sister of Jimi Hendrix. The model, which comes with an extended three-year warranty, is available with an MSRP of 22.110 TL.
