Ulysse Nardin greets watch and sea lovers with its new limited edition model, which it has launched in honor of the jubilee of The Ocean Race boat race, where it is also the official timekeeper.
Thanks to its outstanding success in Marine Chronometer devices, the deep-rooted brand, which has made the passion for the sea philosophy, is preparing to serve as the official timekeeper in the legendary boat race to be held for the first time under the name of The Ocean Race. Ulysse Nardin, who decided to crown the race, known as the Whitbread Round the World Race in the past and then the Volvo Ocean Race, with a limited production model, reinforces its dominance in the seas with the Ocean Race Diver Chronograph Limited Edition.
The new model comes with a 44mm diameter case. The case, which is produced with black PVD coating on ultra-light titanium material, has a concave diver bezel made of Carbonium alloy on the front. The sporty case with sapphire crystals on both sides sports a pair of chronograph pushers with a blue ring on the one for the start/stop functions, as well as an UN-signed screw-down crown. The black-themed case offers resistance to water pressure up to 300 meters.
The stylish model hosts a black dial that stands out with its sandblasted surface. The dial, which includes blue details as well as contrast white components, also includes a date window beside the Tri-Compax chronograph displays.
Ulysse Nardin Ocean Race Diver Chronograph Limited Edition comes to life with the manufacture Caliber UN-150. The automatic movement, which houses integrated column wheel chronograph and date functions, operates at a frequency of 4Hz (28.800voh) and offers a power reserve time of up to 48 hours when fully wound.
The new model comes on a black rubber strap with a black ceramic element decorated with The Ocean Race engraving and a pin buckle.
The list price for the model, which is limited to only 100 pieces, is EUR 16,000.
