Patrick P. Hoffmann, CEO of Ulysse Nardin from the Swiss watch industry’s major players, once again comes to Turkey as the guest of the Turkish distributor of the brand, Şark Saatçilik. In the event which will take place at Ulysse Nardin Boutique at Etiler - Istanbul, the new models introduced at SIHH 2017 will be presented to the guests by Patrick P. Hoffmann.

Born in Reigoldswil, Switzerland, where he resided until 1989, Hoffmann’s professional journey began as an accountant qualified with the Swiss Federal Certificate (CPA). Drawn to the U.S., he continued his education at Andrews University in Michigan. In 1991, he returned to Switzerland to take on the role of Regional Sales Manager at the watchmakers Oris SA, looking after various markets until 1996.  In the same year, the watch distribution company Swiss Prestige Ltd. offered him a position. Hoffmann moved to Kuala Lumpur, and as managing director of the firm’s Swiss Prestige Sdn Bhd, Kuala Lumpur, and Swiss Prestige Pte Ltd, Singapore, he supervised all marketing operations in Singapore and Malaysia, among other duties. One year later, he additionally assumed the management of Oris International Ltd, Hong Kong, and after one more year, again in addition to his existing work, became managing director of the Asia Pacific regional office of Oris SA Switzerland.

During his time in Malaysia, Hoffmann met Rolf W. Schnyder, who was then the owner and president of Ulysse Nardin. Subsequently, he joined Ulysse Nardin Inc. in Florida in 1999 as Vice President and Managing Director of the regional office North America and the Caribbean. Under his leadership, Ulysse Nardin enormously expanded its presence in the U.S. and Caribbean, and in 2008, Hoffmann was promoted to Vice President of Sales and Marketing Worldwide. For two years, he set out to propel Ulysse Nardin further into the global marketplace, regularly traveling to retail outlets and subsidiaries around the world and opening Ulysse Nardin’s first freestanding boutique in 2010 in the U.S. This was another milestone in the company’s long list of breakthroughs and accomplishments.

In 2011, Hoffmann was nominated CEO. Since taking on this principal role, he continues to drive the growth and expansion of Ulysse Nardin in both the manufacturing and distribution of high horology. He ensures that the Ulysse Nardin name upholds the fundamentals that took it to where it is today: innovative and revolutionary developments in watchmaking; superior engineering; and striking design.

In 2014, Ulysse Nardin’s brilliance was advanced through its acquisition by the Kering Goup. Hoffmann led the management team through a sound transition. Now, in the fold of Kering’s Luxury Watches and Jewelry portfolio, with Hoffmann in the lead, Ulysse Nardin continues on its steady course of ingenuity, as well as independence in the manufacturing of in-house movements.

A visionary who possesses extensive knowledge of the international watch industry, Hoffmann is passionate about Ulysse Nardin, its remarkable history and what the manufacture stands for. He looks forward to directing it towards yet another level of excellence in watchmaking.
