Watches & Wonders 2020 Geneva Canceled

The Watches & Wonders event, scheduled for April 25-29, canceled due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The coronavirus epidemic continues to affect the watchmaking industry along with the whole world. After the latest developments in the worldwide spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus, the Watches & Wonders organizer Fondation de la Haute Horlogerie decided to cancel the fair, formerly known as SIHH.

FHH, stating that they are working to protect the health and well-being of all guests, press, partners, and teams, announced that they already started working for the edition that will take place in 2021. In addition to ten Richemont Group brands such as Cartier, Jaeger-LeCoultre, and IWC, many watchmakers like Ulysse Nardin and Girard-Perregaux, Hermés, Parmigiani Fleurier, MB&F, H. Moser & Cie were expected to attend the Watches & Wonders event. More than 23,000 people participated in the fair last year, including 1,400 journalists and 3,000 visitors.

After the latest news, the eyes are at this year’s Baselworld. Although there is no news about the trade show, which is planned to be held between April 30 and May 5, Bulgari, in the first days of February, and Japanese watchmaker Citizen and its teammate Bulova stated that they would not participate in the exhibition this year.
