The legend of El Primero continues to shine at the Watches & Wonders 2022 fair. The new chronographs of the Swiss manufacturer Zenith are candidates to be one of the most popular models of the fair.
The Zenith Chronomaster Sport series, which was received with great sympathy in the watch world, got its full gold and dual-tone, steel/gold versions. The new versions of the Chronomaster family, which was awarded the GPHG Chronograph award in 2021 when it was introduced, are at least as remarkable as the steel case and bracelet options.
Models with cases with a diameter of 41mm come with 18-carat rose gold or a combination of gold and steel cases and bracelets. As a Zenith classic, the watches introduced with black and metallic gray dial combinations feature blue, light gray and dark gray chronograph sub-dials. Home to the 3600 reference series of El Primero, which is considered one of the most advanced chronographs in the world of horology, Chronomasters can measure interval time with a precision of 1/10th of a second. Movements with a working frequency of 5 Hz offer their users a power reserve of up to 60 hours. The waterproof values of the models in the Zenith Chronomaster family are specified as 100 meters.
The Chronomaster Open series, introduced within the scope of the fair, is another remarkable innovation of the Zenith booth. Sapphire crystals are placed on the front and back surfaces of the watches, which have a 39.5mm diameter stainless steel and 18-carat rose gold case. Chronomaster Open watches use the in-house automatic caliber 3604. The movement can measure interval time with 1/10 second precision, has an operating frequency of 5Hz and 60-hour power reserve. Just like in the Sport versions, the use of multi-colored chronograph sub-dials in the Open series does not go unnoticed.
Finally, the Chronomaster series also presents a special watch that will only be sold in Zenith boutiques. The Chronomaster Sport Boutique Edition model, which has a 41mm diameter stainless steel case and bracelet, is distinguished from other watches in the family with its unique bezel. The 3-color bezel is made of ceramic and painted in blue, dark gray and light gray colors just like the chronograph sub-dials. The watch, powered by the automatic caliber El Primero 3600, is already a candidate to become one of the collectors' favorites with its extraordinary theme.
