Zenith is under the spotlight once again with the all-black ceramic version of its highly acclaimed model family Defy Classic.
Defy Collection, which is among the locomotive series of the Zenith product group, has expanded with a new version at the SIHH 2019 fair. The new model, which is a living proof of how classic and modern design elements combine in a beautiful way with its matt black ceramic case and open works dial, is the guest of our Hands-On corner.
The new model, which bears the title of being the first ceramic case version of the collection that host many other iterations in terms of both features and aesthetics, comes in black ceramic case measuring 41mm in diameter and 10.75mm in height. Equipped with scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides, the model is water resistant to 100 meters / 10 bars, an adequate value for a sports watch.
The new model’s dial is designed according to the Open Works concept, which is included in many models of the brand. The indexes are Ruthenium-plated, faceted, and coated with Super-LumiNova SLC C1 in black color as well as the hands that match with the “stealth” look of the model nicely. The date display wheel is also skeletonized and finished in black.
Zenith Defy Classic Black Ceramic Ref. 69.9000.670 / 78.R782 is powered by the manufacture Caliber Elite 670 SK. 27 jewels self-winding movement beats at a frequency of 4Hz (28.800vph) and offers a power reserve of 48 hours when fully wound. Composed of darkened components to match with the modern look and black theme of the model, the movement can be enjoyed through the Open Works style dial and sapphire crystal display case back.
The new model is offered on a Waffle type patterned black rubber strap. The strap is secured with a Zenith signed folding clasp with black DLC coating.
