This year’s Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride – Turkey, sponsored by Zenith like the last two years, took place on 7th October.
At the event, which had to be postponed to 7th October due to the unfavorable weather conditions, many celebrities from the world of art and sports juiced up the atmosphere with their presence. The participants rode their motorcycles of different kind to Bağdat Caddesi through the coast road. Among the riders that came back to the start point after the ride, a small contest was held for the first time this year. Participants voted for the most beautiful motorcycle of the day.
The event, which is organized by the Movember Foundation to attract attention to prostate cancer and male mental health, carried out in 648 cities from 102 countries around the world. With more than 112 thousand gentlemen participating, a great interest was received in Istanbul like the rest of the world.
DGR, one of the world’s largest organizations for men’s health, has so far raised over $ 13 million. Aiming for a US $ 6 million in donation until 14th October 2018, the event is sponsored by Zenith this year as well. The luxury watchmaker offered a limited edition timepiece designed exclusively for DGR 2018. Limited to a span of 5 units only, the new model is given to the top three contributors in terms of donation amount, as well as the most the most successful Team Zenith contributor and one lucky participant. Another lucky person who was selected among the participants that donated more than USD 20.00 became the owner of a motorcycle helmet specially designed for DGR organization.

The new model, which is exclusively designed for the organization, comes in a case made of aged stainless steel, again measuring 45mm in diameter as in previous years. The model is equipped with a retro-looking black dial and contrasting white accents as well as a specially engraved case back that tributes to the DGR in line with the Cafe Racer Spirit.
The model is powered by the brand’s legendary El Primero movement. Self-winding chronograph movement beats at a frequency of 5Hz (36.000vph) and offers 50 hours of power reserve when fully wound. The model is offered on an oily nubuck strap that is secured by a titanium pin buckle that suits with overall retro appeal.
