A Caran d’Ache fountain pen with a mechanical movement... That’s what they call the double pleasure!
Even though we have seen watch movements in walking sticks, miniature musical instruments, pendants, and other tools in the past, few brands are now offering such surprises to their users. Caran d’Ache, which greets its fans with a different(!) pen, Timegraph, offers a unique experience with its baguette movement.
The Swiss brand Caran d’Ache, a well-known name for those who are passionate about writing instruments, has collaborated with Le Temps Manufactures (LTM) to develop the Timegraph. LTM, which opened its doors to the industry in 2008, manufactures watches and watch components for many important brands in the business.
The Timegraph is powered by the hand-wound Caliber LTM 1000, measuring 21mm x 9mm x 3.5mm. The movement consists of 99 components, displaying time in hours and minutes. Operating at 28,800vph, the LTM 1000 provides 40 hours of power reserve at full installation.
Don’t worry about having the movement in a pen. The watch has a diameter of 15mm and a total length of 151mm with its cap. All metal elements used in the pen are palladium and the body is PVD coated. The 18K gold nib is hand polished. The well-proportioned pen provides optimum writing comfort. With three sapphire crystal compartments including one on the cap, Timegraph gives you the chance to see both the movement side and the nib.
Caran d’Ache Timegraph comes in a variety of customization options offered in a lacquer box with an inkstand.
