4 Watch Master’s Choices

4 Watch Master’s Choices

Experience is undoubtedly one of the important elements that come to mind when it comes to the passion for watches… Doyens who have devoted themselves to this hobby guide us, the watch lovers, not only with their knowledge on the subject but also with their brand/model preferences.

Quadran Timepieces, one of the leading brands of the multi-brand store concept operating under D-Saat, opened the doors of their store at İstinye Park AVM, this time to welcome its distinguished guests consisting of watch lovers and members of the press.

In this pleasant organization where we had the opportunity to catch up with the important figures of the watch world, we asked four famous names from the store to choose a watch for themselves and to share the reasons for this preference with us.

Let's see what these four important watch enthusiasts shared with us;

Jaeger-LeCoultre Duomètre Unique Travel Time

In my watch selections, I always give priority to versatile models. The Unique Travel Time series, recently introduced by JLC, is a watch that can be used in any environment and can stand out. It is a model that can be a sporty complement to a casual outfit while offering a stylish look when matched with a suit. In the meantime, I believe the second time indicator is one of the most useful additional features in luxury watches.

Arnold & Son HM Perpetual Moon

Watches with moon phase displays have always been very attractive to me. Arnold & Son takes this elegant complication one step further and presents the moon phase in the largest aperture I've ever seen. I think the 42mm case diameter is an ideal size even for those with smaller wrists like me. Despite the large moon indicator on the dial, I think the watch still has a simple design and therefore I believe that it can be used in almost any occasion, from day to night.

Vacheron Constantin - Harmony Dual Time

I like Vacheron Constantin. The model I chose from the brand, which is among the big and well-established names of Swiss watchmaking, is the Harmony Dual Time. I like this model. As for the reasons; First of all, the cushion style case structure is a design that I particularly like. In addition, the 40mm case diameter both displays a modern presence and offers a comfortable use on my not very large wrist. The Dual Time feature is very useful for me because I travel quite often. I think the fact that the case is made of 18K white gold is an important detail that offers luxury and modesty together.

Zenith - Academy Georges Favre-Jacot

I like Zenith as a brand. Zenith is a well-established brand that has accomplished many successful projects from vintage examples to current models. My choice from this brand is the Academy Georges Favre-Jacot model, produced to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Zenith. I think this model reveals the point the brand has come to and its capacity in manufacturing movements. I would love to see this watch in my collection, which impresses me with its useful structure despite being a very complicated watch in terms of technology.
