Lange is one of my favorite and appreciated brands with its interesting history and timepieces created with extraordinary artisanship. You can be sure that I say extraordinary because when you go deep, you see breathtaking details in a Lange irrespectively of which part you are looking at. The same goes for the Datograph Perpetual Tourbillon as well.
A 41.5mm x 14.6mm 18K white gold case with a solid gold dial, rhodium-plated gold hands, and indexes, blued indicators... While the brand logo written in a gothic font is located just above the dial, the big date is present slightly lower. While I do not like big date displays normally, when it comes to Lange, I cannot think about it without this complication. Asymmetrically placed chronograph and calendar hands provide small seconds, day and day/night information on the left, and chronograph minute, month and leap year information on the right. At 6 o'clock, there is a moon phase display. Between 9 and 10 o'clock, there is an extremely smart and stylishly positioned power reserve indicator.
While the button located on the left side of the case allows for date adjustment, those on the right provide are chronograph pushers as expected. However, it is not just a chronograph as it is not easy to find a word that can describe the smoothness of Lange's chronograph pushers. Thanks to the sapphire crystals on the front and back of the watch, the dial and the movement show their beauty generously.
I can write pages about the glamorous pink tone of the dial, but the movement is just as glamorous as the dial, or even a little more. The hand-wound Caliber L.952.2 is simply the embodiment of perfection. The movement consists of 729 pieces including 2 diamonds, 59 jewels, and 5 gold chatons. The power reserve of the movement beating at 18000vph is 50 hours. Apart from the joy of watching the Tourbillon, I cannot describe the pleasure created by watching that the wheels produced with flawless artisanship move in great harmony.
