Another model of the brand that includes Fibratech ™ material, Panerai Luminor Marina Fibratech ™ - 44 (PAM01119) comes with a Luminor style case designed with a diameter of 44mm and a height of 14.5mm. Made from natural and eco-sustainable raw fibers, Fibratech is an alloy with remarkable physical and mechanical properties. The material, which is 60 percent lighter than steel, durable, and highly resistant to abrasion, is the result of a long study carried out in Panerai Laboratorio di Idee. Fibratech ™, which Panerai developed and refined to put into practice in the field of watchmaking, consists of one-way mineral fibers produced as a result of basalt stone fusion. Fibers that are joined together with perfect orientation, then combined in pressure and temperature controlled process and connected with polymers become thin layers. Since Fibratech ™ is caused by the non-homogeneous matte gray color and the way the material is cut, it offers an impossible to imitate appearance. The case has its own unique and interesting feature: the Luminor-style case features a bezel, a crown, and a crown guard device with phosphor feature. In this way, the image presented by the model in dark environments reveals the legendary silhouette of Luminor. The case, which is produced to withstand 300 meters of water pressure, has a sapphire crystal on the front and a black DLC-coated titanium cover on the back with the phrase "70 Years Warranty" which emphasizes the record-breaking guarantee period.
The model's Sandwich style dial features an anthracite background with a sunray pattern. In addition to the green-luminescent Super-LumiNOVA ™, coated green figures and hour markers "Luminor Marina", "Panerai" and "Automatic" texts are also luminescent. The inner chapter ring on the dial, where the date window is located at 3 o'clock and the small seconds counter at 9 o'clock, also supports the dial integrity with its phosphor feature.
Panerai Luminor Marina Fibratech™ – 44 (PAM01119) model features the Caliber P.9010 movement, designed and produced in the brand's factory in Neuchatel. The operating frequency of the 31-jewel/200-piece automatic movement is set at 4Hz / 28.800vph, and the power reserve it provides when fully wound is 72 hours (3 days). Glucydur ™ balance and Incabloc ™ anti-shock system are used in the movement that includes hour, minute, small seconds, and date functions.
The model, which is limited to 270 pieces and will only be available through the brand's boutiques, comes with a black Sportech ™ Velcro strap decorated with luminescent stitches and black rubber strap. A Panerai signed titanium buckle accompanies both straps.
