A. Lange & Söhne decorates 2021, the first half of which is left behind, with eye-catching models.
A. Lange & Söhne Langematik Perpetual 20th Anniversary
A. Lange & Söhne has added two new versions to the Langematik Perpetual model family, which combines the Perpetual Calendar complication with the Big Date indicator, which is among the symbols of the brand. Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the model, the new versions come in 18K white and rose gold options.
Langematik Perpetual, which was added to the brand's product line in March 2001, is today considered one of the few models that have achieved cult status among Perpetual Calendar watches. Celebrating the 20th anniversary of its model family, ALS crowns this special occasion with two new versions.
The new models come with a case designed with a diameter of 38.5mm and a height of 10.2mm. Sapphire crystals are used on the front and back of the case, which are available in 18K white and rose gold options.
Both versions come with a specially designed dark blue dial. Designed with a blue background on a silver plate, the dials are accompanied by fluted and embossed components made of white or pink gold depending on the theme of the model. Hours, minutes, small seconds, date, day, month, moon phase, leap year and day/night information can be followed on the dial, which does not compromise legibility.
The new models are brought to life by the manufacture, Caliber L922.1 SAX-0-MAT. Featuring details such as a ¾ body made of German silver, a 21K gold rotor, and a handcrafted balance cock, the automatic movement offers a power reserve of 46 hours when fully wound.
The models, which are limited to only 50 pieces each, are accompanied by a hand-stitched crocodile leather strap and a folding clasp produced per the case material.
A. Lange & Söhne Saxonia Thin
A. Lange & Söhne has added a new version to the Saxonia Thin model family, one of the successful representatives of the “less is more” philosophy.
Blending simplicity and elegance with the unique image of a starry sky, the model is limited to only 50 pieces.
The new model comes in an 18K rose gold case designed with a diameter of 40mm and a height of 6.2mm. The elegant case is accompanied by sapphire crystals covering both sides.
The mesmerizing dial of the model comes with a dark blue gold flux plated silver background that shines with copper particles. The dial, hosting dauphine-style hands and elongated markers, does not display any features other than hours and minutes.
ALS design and manufacture, Caliber L093.1, gives life to the stylish model. The automatic movement, which comes with ALS standard features such as a German silver body and hand-engraved balance cock, offers an efficient power reserve of 72 hours when fully wound.
Limited to only 50 pieces, the model comes with a seamless shiny navy blue leather strap and an 18K rose gold buckle.
A. Lange & Söhne Cabaret Tourbillon Handwerkskunst
Among the new models, the flagship Cabaret Tourbillon Handwerkskunst reveals the brand's experience in high watchmaking.
The new model comes in a rectangular case designed with dimensions of 29.5 × 39.2 × 10.3 mm and made of Grade 950 platinum alloy. The elegant case with sapphire crystals on both sides sports a thin crown as well as a recessed pusher for the date set.
The three-part dial of the CABARET TOURBILLON HANDWERKSKUNST is made of solid white gold and is crafted in the manufactory. The inner area with the typical Lange outsize date is manually engraved with a lozenge pattern. On the 6 o'clock position of the sector type dial with Roman numeral indexes and Dauphine style hands, there is a Tourbillon escapement. Hours, minutes, small seconds, one-minute Tourbillon with stop-seconds, power reserve indicator, and large date functions can be viewed through the translucent enamel-coated dial that makes the gray tones used on the background visible.
Cabaret Tourbillon Handwerkskunst beats by the Caliber L042.1 movement, designed and produced by ALS. Hand-made and hand-decorated to the highest ALS standards, the manual winding movement features brand-specific details such as a German silver ¾ base plate and hand-finished Tourbillon and gear levers. Consisting of a total of 370 parts, 84 of which are used in the Tourbillon, the movement also offers an excellent power reserve time of 120 hours when fully wound.
The model, which is limited to only 30 pieces and comes with individual production numbers, is available on a black alligator strap with gray stitching and a Grade 950 platinum folding buckle.
