Alpina Alpiner 4 Chronograph

Alpina Alpiner 4 Chronograph

Inspired by the success of a model designed by the Alpina Community last year, the two new chronographs bring the colors of the Swiss Alpine landscape to the wrists with granite and pine green dials.

The new models come with a stainless steel case designed with a diameter of 44mm and a height of 15.70mm. The cases, which are waterproof up to 100 meters, have sapphire crystal glass on the front and a bezel that can rotate 360° in two directions. Marked in increments of 03, 06…36, the bezel can be used as a compass to help hikers or outdoorsmen find direction. By pointing the hour hand of the watch at the Sun and aligning it with the 36 mark on the bezel, you can technically determine your position or cardinal direction and return to camp.

Although the watch is not a GMT model, there is a 24-hour ring just below the rotating bezel. Set against a light blue, dark gray, or dark green dial with sunray coating, Alpiner 4 features a bi-compax layout with a seconds counter running at 9 o'clock and a 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o'clock. Beneath the red "4" are the words "Automatic, Chronograph, Antimagnetic and 100m/330ft" in white.

The new models are brought to life by the Sellita SW 500-based Caliber AL-860. Beating at a frequency of 4Hz / 28.800vph, the automatic chronograph movement offers 55 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
