Masterpiece Skeleton
Undoubtedly, one of the most attractive timepieces from the novelties was the Masterpiece Skeleton.
The 43mm case is made of stainless steel. The sapphire crystal is AR coated on both sides for utmost legibility. The watch is rated WR50M.
The watch is powered with the Caliber ML134. The movement is beautifully finished in classic watch making style. 17 jewelled movement beats at 2.5Hz and offers 45h power reserve when fully wound.
I think the watch is quite nice with a lot of design details. My only negative comment would go to the crown which causes a lack of harmony.
Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Skeleton comes with two color options as blue and gray. Both versions are accompanied with a nice black alligator strap.
Masterpiece Chronograph Skeleton
The second skeleton model from the novelties collection is the Masterpiece Chronograph Skeleton. The chronograph version sports a 45mm case made of stainless steel with WR100M rating. The sapphire crystal bears AR coating on both sides along a beautiful inscription of brand’s name and logo at 12 o’clock position.
25 jewelled automatic chronograph movement beats at 28800vph and offers 48h power reserve.
The watch is offered on a hand stitched black alligator strap with a double folding clasp.
Unfortunately, Masterpiece Chronograph Skeleton’s crown design looks disharmonious as well.
Masterpiece Mysterious Seconds “Revelation”
The last skeleton timepiece we have here is the Masterpiece Mysterious Seconds “Revelation”. The version we have here has the black PVD coated case. The 43mm stainless steel case offers WR50M rating.
The legibility of the dial is partially blocked due to wide second hand sub dial however, watching the second hand tick is surely a visual joy.
The watch is powered with the Caliber ML215 beating at 18000vph. The movement offers 50h power reserve and matches perfectly with the bold attitude of the watch with its attractive finish.
Besides the black PVD version, there is also a stainless steel version as well. Both versions are offered on alligator straps with different colors as PVD gets a black one and the stainless steel gets a Brown one.
