Baume & Mercier, one of the deep-rooted names in Switzerland, is expanding its iconic product line Riviera with brand new women's models.
Celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, the model family is a strong option, especially between entry and mid-level alternatives, with its design elements suitable for the sport-chic concept, one of the most popular trends of recent years. Presenting the fifth generation Riviera concept to watch lovers in 2021, Baume & Mercier enriches this special collection with newly added women models.
The new models come in Riviera-type cases designed with a diameter of 33mm and a height of 9.6mm. The cases, which are completed with an integrated metal bracelet and 12-sided bezel, which are the symbol details of the concept, are waterproof up to 50 meters. The cases are made of polished and satinized stainless steel, with scratch-resistant sapphire crystals on both sides. The case back follows the same silhouette as the 12-sided bezel and a personalized engraving can be added if desired. The octagonal crown features the company's signature Greek letter Phi.
There are three different dial alternatives in the newly added models to the product group. Dials with a wave pattern on the ground; In addition to sand beige accompanied by 5N gold-plated indexes and hands, it comes in navy blue and purple options equipped with rhodium-plated indexes and hands. The date, which is the only extra function of the model, is read from the window located at 3 o'clock.
The new models come to life with the automatic Sellita SW200 movement. The movement, which oscillates at a frequency of 4Hz (28,800vph), offers 38 hours of power reserve when fully wound. On the rotor of the movement, which can be viewed through the sapphire crystal case back, the Greek letter Phi symbol stands out. In addition to automatic models, there are versions equipped with the Ronda Caliber 714LI battery-operated movement in the product group.
All models are available on an integrated metal bracelet, which offers a stylish and sporty look with its three-link design. At the end of the bracelet, a signed folding clasp serves.
