Blancpain has added a new green-themed model to its Bathyscaphe series, the elegant chronograph of the legendary dive watch model family Fifty Fathoms.
The new model brought to life by Blancpain, one of the milestones of traditional luxury watchmaking comes with a 43.6mm diameter and 15.25mm thick case. The case is made of matt-black ceramic. Equipped with a sapphire crystal and a green ceramic insert uni-directional diver’s bezel, the case also sports a sapphire crystal display case back. The model is water-resistant to 300 meters, which is an excellent value for a sports chronograph with a see-thru case back.
The model features a matching green dial with a sunray pattern, laid out in Tri-Compax chronograph form. Thanks to the Super-LumiNOVA filled hands and markers, the dial offers optimum readability in almost any environment. The date display window is located at 4:30 position in the dial where the red-tipped chronograph second hand adds a sporty touch.
The new model beats with the manufacture Caliber F385 movement. Attracting attention with its 5Hz (36.000vph) high operating frequency, the 37 jewels automatic movement provides 50 hours of power reserve when fully wound. The movement is packed with hour, minute, small seconds, and date features as well as a Flyback chronograph function.
Blancpain Fifty Fathoms Bathyscaphe Chronograph Flyback Green comes with two different strap options, NATO (Ref. 5200-0153-NABA) and sail canvas fabric (Ref.5200-0153-B52A).
