Breitling introduced three new timepieces to commemorate an aviation legend: the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk. The new series include a pair of Chronographs as well as a three-hand automatic, all dressed up in military style with khaki color theme.
The new collection is exclusively designed to commemorate the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk, a legendary American single-seat fighter plane from World War 2. Produced in 1938 for the first time, the aircraft is an icon within the history of aviation thanks to numerous successful missions during WWII. Inspired by the famous aircraft’s color, the new timepieces are equipped with khaki dials designed in line with the military theme.
The first model in the collection is the Ref. AB0119, which comes in 43mm diameter stainless steel case. Powered by the manufacture self-winding chronograph movement Caliber B01, the model is equipped with a khaki background dial with contrasting white Arabic numerals and red accents. The sapphire display case back features an image of the Curtiss P-40 Warhawk. The model is available on khaki textile strap or stainless steel bracelet.
Another model in the new collection is the Ref. A13316, which also comes with a 43mm diameter stainless steel case. Powered by the COSC certified ETA Valjoux 7750-based automatic chronograph Caliber 13 movement, the model is equipped with an almost all khaki dial with the exception of white Arabic numeral indexes and red accents. The model is also available on khaki textile strap and stainless steel bracelet.
The latest in the collection is the three-hand Ref. M173152A model. The new model comes in a 41mm diameter black DLC-coated stainless steel case comes. Ticking with the COSC-certified and Sellita-based Caliber 17 self-winding movement, the model is offered with a khaki dial with white Arabic numeral indexes and a red tipped second hand. The new model is available on a khaki textile strap.
