Breitling has announced the new Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 American Airlines Limited Edition. The model, which refers to the golden years of aviation, is limited to only 100 pieces.
Breitling Navitimer, one of the first names that come to mind when it comes to aviation in the world of watches, continues its long-term adventure with new models. The well-established collection, which includes models designed for different themes and collaborations as well as standard models, is expanding with a new model today.
The new model comes in a stainless steel case with a diameter of 43mm and a height of 14.2mm. The case, which has a coin-edge patterned bezel, which is a Navitimer classic, and a curved sapphire crystal on the front, is waterproof up to 30 meters. Hosting piston-style chronograph pushers and a large crown with the Breitling logo, the case back features the emblem used by American Airlines between 1945 and 1962.
The classic Navitimer style dial, which has come up with many different colors and themes so far, comes in red/white/blue tones, which are also the colors of American Airlines. The red accents added to the dial, where the blue/white contrast is used intensely, also emphasize the thematic character of the model.
The in-house Caliber Breitling 01 movement gives life to the new model. The COSC certified automatic chronograph movement offers a power reserve of up to 70 hours when fully wound. In addition to the hour, minute, and second functions, the movement, which can be viewed through the crystal case back, also has a 12-hour chronograph feature that can measure with 1/4 second precision.
Limited to only 100 pieces, 75 pieces of the model are offered for sale with the brown calf strap and the remaining 25 pieces with the stainless steel mesh bracelet. The price information for the model, which is only offered for sale within the borders of the USA, is as follows; $8,650 with leather strap & $9,350 with stainless steel bracelet.
