Bulgari added a new model equipped with the second time zone feature to its Aluminum collection, which was presented to watch lovers again with its renewed face last year.

Known mainly for its Octo model family among young watch enthusiasts, Bulgari is a very experienced brand in watchmaking. Combining its unique Italian design with its mastery in the jewelry segment, Bulgari continues its activities in the field of luxury watches since 1918.

The Bulgari Aluminum collection, on the other hand, was based on the Bvlgari Bvlgari model, introduced by the brand for the first time in 1977 featuring the signature double Bvlgari engraver bezel. Inspired by the coins from the Ancient Roman period, this detail soon became a signature of the brand. The Diagono model family, which was introduced in 1988 and was more like a turning point for the brand, made a great success. When the calendars show 1998, Bulgari took a bold decision and introduced the Alumino series, which combines aluminum and rubber. The model family, which had a unisex identity with its unique Italian design, comfortable use, and unusual material combination, also witnessed the rapid climb of the brand in the luxury watchmaking segment.

The cult design, revived in the deft hands of the brand's creative director Fabrizio Buonamassa, started to appear in the brand's catalogs with its renewed face in 2020. The newly introduced model brings the second time zone function, which has re-gained its meaning in these days when people can slowly get back to traveling again, at a relatively affordable price and with a design suitable for the brand's new generation fans.

The new model comes in an aluminum case designed with a diameter of 40mm and a height of 9.70mm. Equipped with a titanium crown and case back, the case sports a rubber bezel on the front finished in blue per the overall theme. The elegant case, water-resistant up to 100 meters, features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal on the front.

The blue dial of the model includes the typical design elements of the Aluminum series. The technical details that distinguish the model from other versions are the blue/red inner 24h scale and the red-tipped GMT hand.

Bvlgari Bvlgari and Bvlgari Diagono are models that have found their place in my collection over and over again. I bought many different versions from these two model families, which I appreciated for their unique and sporty designs in the years where they were introduced, and I enjoyed them a lot. I recommend everyone to see the Aluminum collection live, which combines the classic Italian design with the superior craftsmanship from high-end jewelry production, for once.
