The Rotonde de Cartier Chronograph, which was added to the Cartier product line in 2015, was presented to watch aficionados in the same year at the SIHH exhibition. The model family that attracted great attention with the design that successfully blends the elements of the classic dress chronograph with the details that make up Cartier’s DNA, is under the spotlight with the Rotonde de Cartier Chronograph Limited Edition model which attracts attention with its deep blue dial and 18K white gold case.
The model is offered in an 18K white gold case measuring 40mm in diameter and 12.15mm in height. The case is equipped with scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides as well as accents like rectangular chronograph pushers, sapphire set winding crown and transparent case back with miniature screws that represent the dress chronograph style. The case is water resistant to 30 meters / 3 bars.
Cartier Rotonde de Cartier Chronograph Limited Edition comes with a dial designed in deep blue color, which is one of the favorite colors of the last few years we left behind. Laid out in Bi-Compax chronograph style, the dial is accompanied by sub-counters in contrast white/silver tones and stylized Roman numerals hour markers. There is a 60-minute inner chapter on the outside of the dial that reflects the Cartier style to its finest detail. The dial hosts a date display window at 6 o’clock and a set of Breguet style hands.
The model is powered by the manufacture Caliber Ref. 1904-CH MC which is one of the first results of the brand’s remarkable investments in luxury watchmaking. 35 jewels automatic movement beats at a frequency of 4Hz (28.800vph) and offers 48 hours of power reserve when fully wound. The movement is enjoyed through the sapphire crystal display case back.
Cartier Rotonde de Cartier Chronograph Limited Edition comes on a semi-matte dark blue alligator strap that is secured with the classic Cartier folding clasp made of 18K white gold. The model is limited to a span of 300 units only with a MSRP of 18.000 EUR.
