Chopard introduced its first Flying Tourbillon model, L.U.C Flying T Twin, at Baselworld 2019.
The new model comes in a 40mm diameter and 7.20mm high case designed to fit the ultra-thin definition. Made of Fairmined certified 18K pink gold material, which is supplied in accordance with the brand’s ethical production approach, the case has scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glasses on both sides of the case with anti-reflective coating on the front. The case is water resistant to a segment correct 30 meters / 3 bars value and is designed with both satin-brushed and polished surfaces.
Solid gold material is preferred for the model’s elegant dial. The surface features Ruthenium gray finish obtained by galvanic treatment. Dial is hand-Guilloché decorated and equipped with snailed chapter ring and honeycomb motif in center and is accompanied with applied hour markers, Tourbillon frame gilded with 18K rose gold - gilded Dauphine hour and minute hands - white triangle-shaped small seconds hand. 12-hour maker is in Arabic numeral style.
Chopard L.U.C Flying T is powered by the fully manufacture Caliber L.U.C 96.24-L movement. 22K solid gold micro-rotor self-winding movement features 190 parts, beats at a frequency of 4Hz (28,800vph) and offers a power reserve of 65 hours thanks to its twin barrels. The movement, which is COSC chronometer-certified and Geneva Seal quality approved, features small seconds on Flying Tourbillon carriage.
The new model, which is limited to only 50 pieces, comes on a matte black alligator with cognac-colored alligator lining that is secured by an 18K rose gold pin buckle. Price: EUR 109,000.
