Distinguished at first sight with its unique design and retro lines, the new L.U.C GMT One features the brand’s in-house Caliber Ref. L.U.C 01.10-L. Praised by the watch enthusiast, let’s take a close look at this novelty.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of founding its Manufacture in Fleurier, Chopard is launching the first L.U.C watch to feature a dual-time function built into the movement.
The case is designed at 42mm, which is contemporary enough for today’s taste of men size watches and also ideal for a modern watch with a lot of retro styling detail. The thickness of the watch is 11.71mm.
Included are AR coated and scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides. The case is water resistant up to 50M. In keeping with the fundamental spirit of the L.U.C collection, the L.U.C GMT One is an exceptional timepiece that is easy to use and appreciate on a day to day basis. A first crown positioned at 2 o’clock serves to adjust the date and local time, while the second crown at 4 o’clock controls the large baton-type hand tipped with a large arrow and pointing out the second time zone.
The sunburst black dial, rimmed with slate grey, serves to show the 24 hours of a busy day, displayed in white, for day-time hours, and in orange for the night-time hours. At 6 o’clock are glides over the date window, a characteristic feature of L.U.C watches.
The watch is powered by the brand’s in-house movement Calibre L.U.C 01.10-L. The automatic winding movement beats at 28800vph and offers a 60h power reserve when fully wound. The 31 jeweled movement is certified for accuracy by C.O.S.C. Its components are all chamfered and its bridges are adorned with Côtes de Genève.
L.U.C GMT One is offered on a black alligator strap. The strap is secured with a pin type stainless steel buckle.
There is also another version of the same model with 18K solid rose gold case option. The estimated arrival date to boutiques and sales corners is not announced yet.
