Chopard introduced a new collection for the Mille Miglia race, for which it has been the official timekeeper for a long time.
The brand, which has not lost its close contact with motorsports, continues to serve as the official timekeeper of the Mille Miglia race, which returned to the motorsports community in 1977. The brand, which has designed many limited and special models in memory of this important task it has undertaken since 1988, continues this tradition for 2021 as well.
There are two different references in the newly designed Chopard Mille Miglia 2021 Race Edition model family. The stainless steel version is limited to 1000 pieces, and the Bi-Color version made of stainless steel and 18K Ethical Gold gold alloy is limited to 250 pieces.
The bold and sporty cases, designed with a diameter of 44mm and a height of 13.79mm, have a sapphire crystal with a magnifier on the front, and a case back with the Mille Miglia emblem and the inscription "Brescia>Roma>Brescia" on the back. The case, which is waterproof up to 100 meters, sports a winding crown with a steering wheel emblem and chronograph pushers with Clous de Paris motifs. The steel and steel/gold models are distinguished from each other by the tachymetric scale insert gold bezel, gold crown/chronograph pushers, and gold dial accents.
The dials, designed in Tri-Compax chronograph layout, hosts red accents on a gray background. The window of the model's date display is at 3 o'clock.
The automatic chronograph movement, designed on the Valjoux 7750 architecture, gives life to the new models. The C.O.S.C. certified movement offers a power reserve time of up to 48 hours when fully wound.
The models come on a black calfskin strap with a perforated upper part and a Dunlop rubber tread lining. The reference and price information of the models are as follows;
Ref. 168571-3009, steel, limited to 1,000 units, EUR 7,570
Ref. 168571-6003, steel/gold, limited to 250 pieces, EUR 10,900
