Doxa introduced a limited version of its iconic dive watch, Sub 300, in a forged carbon suit.
Doxa, one of the world's most famous manufacturers of diving watches, introduced the limited model of the Sub 300, made entirely of forged carbon. The new model benefits from the unrivaled lightness and durability of carbon fiber. Of course, with the unique image captured at the same time.
The model comes in a 42.5mm x 45mm x 13.4mm case made of forged carbon sporting a bezel and a dial made of the same material. The Doxa Sub 300 has short lugs, a large bezel, and a relatively small dial, due to its architecture. In this way, it offers an extremely comfortable wrist wear together with a bold image.
Thanks to the materials used, the watch's total weight reduced to 87 grams. In this case, besides the case, the dial and the bezel made of carbon, the titanium winding crown, the case back, and the inner case are also effective as well as the rubber strap.
As can be understood from the "Aqua-Lung" logo positioned at 7:30 in the dial, the SCUBA system, which has a long-standing relationship with Doxa and established under the leadership of Jacques Cousteau, has a great influence on the watch.
The model is water-resistant to 300 meters, an industry classic for true dive watches. At the heart of the watch is the automatic Caliber ETA 2824-2. The chronometer-certified movement has 25 jewels, beats at 28800vph, and offers a 42-hour power reserve.
Limited to a span of 300 units only, the watch comes on a black rubber strap that is secured by a PVD-coated stainless-steel folding clasp. MSRP is $ 4790 (US list). The orders for the watch, which will be on sale as of August 2020, have already started to be taken.
