Celebrating its 35th anniversary and making its debut at Watches & Wonders 2023, Frederique Constant presents a new version of the Classics Tourbillon Manufacture. First launched in 2008, the brand's in-house tourbillon caliber greets watch lovers once again, this time with a 39mm diameter 18K pink gold case. Featuring a more modern dial design, the new Classics Tourbillon Manufacture is limited to 150 pieces, each numbered.
The new model comes with a stylish and simple case made of 18K rose gold. The entire case, designed with a diameter of 39mm and a height of 10.99mm, consists of glossy surfaces. The case, which has scratch-resistant sapphire crystals on both sides, is accompanied by a pink gold crown by Frederique Constant.
The stylish model is home to a simple dial in dark gray with a sunray surface form. Unlike previous models equipped with a tourbillon caliber, the dial, which offers a more basic design language, features diamond-cut and pink gold coated hands and indices. There is no extra function on the dial, which draws attention with its simplicity to the Tourbillon escapement, which is visible through the opening at 6 o'clock. Among the details of the simple and classic design of the dial, let's add that there is no phosphorus application on the hands and indices.
Caliber FC-980, one of the brand's in-house movements, gives life to the new model. The 33-jewel automatic movement, with a total of 188 parts (80 parts in the Tourbillon escapement), beats at a frequency of 4Hz (28.800vph) and offers a power reserve of 38 hours when fully wound.
