Glashütte Original, one of the German representatives of luxury watchmaking, is expanding its 1970s-inspired Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date model family with a new version hosting a green dial.
The adventure of the model family with warm and fun colors begins with the two gradient dial versions introduced in 2019. The collection, which continues to expand with two blue dial models added in 2021, says hello to a new green-themed model today.
The new model comes with a case that is among the symbol details of the 70s with its TV-shaped form in watch terminology. The square case, also measuring 40mm x 40mm x 14.10mm, is made of stainless steel. The case, which is waterproof up to 100 meters, hosts sapphire crystal on both sides, a Glashütte Original signed crown, and large chronograph pushers.
This new dial, called Fab Green, draws attention with its lively tone that refers to the furniture and interior designs of the 1970s. As always, the dial, produced in-house by the brand's dial manufacturer in Pforzheim, includes a gradient surface form instead of sunray. The dial, which has a Bi-Compax chronograph arrangement, also includes additional functions such as the panoramic date window, 12-hour counter, and power reserve indicator, which are identified with the brand.
The Caliber 37-02, which was designed and produced in-house, serves in the new model. The automatic movement, which includes a 12-hour counter, panoramic date display, and power reserve indicator in addition to the integrated chronograph function with flyback feature, offers a power reserve of 70 hours when fully wound.
To complete this colorful and playful edition of the Seventies Chronograph Panorama Date, Glashütte Original offers a choice of three alternatives: a brown-gray calfskin nubuck strap, a black rubber strap (both with folding clasps), and a stainless steel bracelet.
