H. Moser & Cie, which recently occupied the agenda with its remarkable insights on the meaning and value of the Swiss Made phrase today, introduced the stainless steel version of its Perpetual Calendar model from the Pioneer Collection.

H. Moser & Cie, one of the exclusive watchmakers of Switzerland, has recently expressed a complaint about the lack of confidence in the concept of "Swiss Made" and introduced the “Swiss Mad Watch” in order to criticize the current state of the Swiss Made concept. Indicating that this interesting model, limited to only one piece, will be sold in an auction fashion, the brand added that the revenue would be transferred to the independent watch manufacturers, which are trying to keep their presence in the Swiss Watch Industry while struggling with difficult conditions.

Capturing a successful graphic with its exclusive design clues and attention to details, the independent brand became a guest of our pages once again with the new stainless steel Perpetual Calendar model, which was introduced under the Pioneer collection.

The Perpetual Calendar feature is not on the brand’s successful product line Pioneer collection for the first time. Introduced in 18K gold previously, the model comes in a stainless steel case with a 120M waterproof rating, which is not a standard for Perpetual Calendar featured models. Sporting scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides, the case measures 42.8mm in diameter and 11.3mm in thickness.

The dial of the model carries the symbolic details of H. Moser & Cie. Designed in a fairly minimalist and relatively retro style, the color and texture of the dial has been chosen in a dark blue fumé (getting darker gradually from the center to the edges). Accompanied by leaf style hands and long hour markers, the dial features a small second sub-counter at 6 o’clock and a date display at 3 o’clock. The month function is displayed by a small hand placed in the center while the power reserve indicator is located at 9 o’clock. The leap year indicator, which is one of the indispensable features of Perpetual Calendar models, is located at the back of the watch.

The new model is powered by the brand’s in-house Caliber Ref. HMC 800. 32 jewels hand-wound movement beats at a relatively low rate of 18000vph and offers an impressive 7 days power reserve thanks to its duel barrel design.
