H. Moser & Cie, who continued to contribute to the Swiss watch industry in terms of horology and design, presented its latest limited edition model at the SIHH 2019. The most noteworthy part of the model to be produced as a unique piece is its dial… Or, not? Let’s have a look.
The model is offered in a rectangular Platinum case, which is known with its resemblance with Apple Watch as many of you would agree, measuring 45.8 x 39.8 x 11mm. Due to the higher specific weight of Platinum, the watch is quite heavy.
The case is equipped with sapphire crystals on both sides with AR coating on the front ın order to achieve a better legibility. The winding crown at 3 o’clock is decorated with the brand’s logo; letter M.
The dial is glossy black and pretty minimalistic. Displaying the moon phase with a single arrow and the annual calendar with one date window, the brand preferred show the time without hands.
I am sure everyone will try to flip the watch for an easier time display. Well, you will still not be able to do that when you flip the watch. So how do you read the time? The answer is simple: you don’t read it… you listen to it. Thanks to the lever on the left side of the case, you listen to the sound from the movement and know the time. Taking the concept of simplicity to a next level, the model also houses a Tourbillon at 6 o’clock position.
The model is powered by the hand-wound Caliber HMC 901. The movement beats at a frequency of 21600vph and offers a power reserve of 87 hours when fully wound. The movement, which is totally handcrafted, offers top complications like Tourbillon and Minute Repeater.
The Concept Black comes on a hand-stitched black alligator strap with red lining.
