Hamilton's military-themed best-seller lineup expands with new 38mm versions resized to stay true to the model that inspired it.
The American origin brand, which continues its activities under the umbrella of the Swatch Group, has a deep-rooted history in military watches. Playing an important role in the history of watches as the official watch supplier of different military forces throughout the 20th century, Hamilton also hosts many reproduction models that carry its legacy to the present day. Among these is the Khaki Field product line, which deserves the tremendous attention it receives from watch enthusiasts.
The collection, which consists entirely of military-themed models, carries the brand's rich experience in military watches to the wrists with models that have been redesigned per today's standards. Our guest today is the Khaki Field Titanium Automatic 38mm models, which are newly added to this wide model family.
Not only the fans of the brand but also watch lovers who are interested in military-themed watches will remember; Versions with 38mm case diameter in the Khaki Field Titanium Automatic model family were only available with hand-wound movements. The automatic caliber option, on the other hand, was limited to models with a 42mm case diameter only. Bringing 38mm case diameter, which is closer to the vintage Hamilton Military Watch examples that inspired the creation of the collection, with automatic movements, the brand closed this gap in the product group.
The new models come with a 38mm diameter and 11.68mm high case. The Grade 2 titanium alloy case also has a black PVD option. There are sapphire crystals on the front and back of the cases, which are designed to withstand water pressure up to 100 meters.
Models that stand out with their compact dimensions are home to military-style dials with black, khaki, and grey options. The PVD-coated model houses a gray dial that attracts attention with its concrete-like background pattern. The matte titanium case model, on the other hand, is available with sector-style black or green dials.
Hamilton Caliber H-10 movement gives life to new models. Standing out with its 80-hour power reserve, the ETA 2824-based automatic movement is used by Swatch Group brands in many different models. Equipped with a Nivachron non-magnetic hairspring, the movement can be viewed through the transparent case back.
