Here we are with the Big Bang Meca-10 Blue Ceramic (Ref. 414.EX.5123.RX) from Hublot that attracts attention with its 10 days power reserve movement, which was developed after two years of research and development.
Among the new Hublot models introduced under Baselworld 2018, the Meca-10 Blue Ceramic comes in a 45mm diameter, 15.95mm high, Hublot Big Bang model family-style case made of micro blasted and polished blue ceramic. The upper part of the bezel which is fixed to the case with 6 screws designed as the letter H, one of the symbol details of Hublot, is produced from the same material as the case, while the lower part is made of black composite resin material. The case is equipped with double anti-reflective treated scratch resistant sapphire crystals on both sides and, as in many models in the sporting product group of the brand, is water resistant to 100 meters / 10 bars.
The model is offered with a skeleton style dial that is contemporarily designed in accordance with the model’s overall hi-end appearance. The visible parts of the movement are industrially decorated rather than traditional. There is a power reserve indicator at 6 o’clock and a small seconds sub counter at 9 o’clock. Thanks to the Super LumiNOVA phosphor applied hands and indices, the dial offers optimal legibility at all times.
Hublot Big Bang Meca-10 Blue Ceramic (Ref. 414.EX.5123.RX) is powered by the brand’s manufacture Caliber HUB1201 movement, which required more than two years of research and development to be built. 3 Hz (21’600 A / h) frequency hand wound movement is composed of 223 parts (24 jewels) and is capable of offering an impressive power reserve of 10 days.
The model comes on a rubber strap with a top side finished in matching blue color. The lining is black and the strap is secured with a Hublot signed folding clasp made of black polished ceramic and black plated titanium.
