Hublot introduced the new Classic Fusion Concrete Jungle model, inspired by the city of New York.
The model, the second work of the brand in the Concrete concept, comes with a 45mm diameter Classic Fusion style case. Designed in the light of the brand's famous Art of Fusion motto, the model features a case and bezel made of composite concrete. The concrete material is composed of 65-75% fine cement, 25-30% epoxy resin replacing water in standard concrete, and 5- 10% fiberglass replacing steel to reinforce the concrete. Hublot’s Nyon design team upgraded the epoxy resin with an anti-UV additive to prevent color change over time and applied an anti-graffiti treatment on the finished components to prevent the concrete from becoming impregnated with other contaminants like dirt. The case and dial formed with this enhanced concrete will prove to withstand the test of time, underlining the importance of meticulous craftsmanship in creating enduring pieces. On the front of the case, which can withstand water pressure up to 50 meters, there is a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal glass with an anti-reflection coating. A pair of chronograph pushers and a Hublot signed winding crown made of black ceramic complement the modern case.
The dial of the model is also made of the same concrete alloy used in the case. The dial, designed in a Bi-Compax chronograph layout, is accompanied by hour markers and baton hands recessed into the base. The date window, also recessed, rests at 6 o'clock.
The Caliber HUB1143 movement is at the heart of the new model. Automatic chronograph movement provides up to 42 hours of power reserve when fully wound.
Limited to only 50 pieces, the model comes on a black rubber and black synthetic textile strap. A micro-blasted black ceramic and black-plated stainless steel deployant buckle clasp secures the strap.
The Classic Fusion Concrete Jungle New York model will be available exclusively at Hublot's Fifth Avenue flagship boutique and on Hublot.com before it goes on sale at Hublot boutiques across the country.
