Classic Fusion, the cult product line of Hublot, is under the spotlight with the Classic Fusion Green Titanium 38mm (Ref. 565.NX.8970.LR), which is both sporty and elegant with its green theme and compact size.
The model that belongs to the Classic Fusion Collection, one of Hublot’s locomotive product lines, comes with an ultra-light titanium case. Offered in 42, 38 and 33mm diameter case options, the version we have here, Ref. 565.NX.8970.LR, comes in a 38mm case. The case, which is a nice sample of 36-40mm diameter timepieces that we see more often due to the oversized watch trend gradually losing its popularity, can be worn comfortably on the wrist. On the front side of the case is the Hublot classic bezel fitted with 6 H-shaped head screws. Both sides of the case is equipped with anti-glare treated scratch resistant sapphire crystals. Featuring polished and satin-brushed surfaces, the case is accompanied with a Hublot signed titanium winding crown and is water resistant to 50 meters / 5 bars.
Undoubtedly, the most striking feature of the model is its green dial. The dial, which hosts typical Classic Fusion type design elements, is finished in Sun Ray green that changes its tone according to different angles of light. Looking more like a black dial when it’s not exposed to direct light, the dial is accompanied with baton style hour markers and hands. The date function, which is the only extra feature of the model, is placed at 3 o’clock.
The Classic Fusion Green Titanium 38mm (Ref. 565.NX.8970.LR) is powered by the brand’s Caliber HUB1110 movement. Operating at 4Hz (28.800vph), the self-winding movement offers a power reserve of 42 hours when fully wound.
Another detail referring to the green theme of the model is the strap. Hublot’s vulcanized rubber lining with alligator top strap, which is known for its comfort and durability, comes in a matching green tone. Unlike the dial, the green in the strap is quite noticeable anytime. The strap is secured with the Hublot signed folding clasp.
There’s not much to say about the Hublot Classic Fusion concept... Regarding the Classic Fusion Green Titanium 38mm (Ref. 565.NX.8970.LR) model here, I would say that I pretty much liked the model. The main reasons for my positive feedback are the balanced use of green details, the wearing comfort thanks to the ultra-lightweight titanium case and the 38mm case diameter that I missed to see in new men’s timepieces. Oh, there is another nice thing about this model as well; let’s say you want to buy a green watch but you don’t intend to wait for 2 (!) years or give a product a price that is higher than the MSRP set by the manufacturer... Voila!
