Panerai’s Research & Development Director - Frédéric Dreyer is the guest of our pages with the pleasant interview that we had the opportunity to do at the brand’s beautiful booth at SIHH 2018.

Named “the little genius” by the brand’s legendary CEO who announced his retirement recently, Frédéric Dreyer joined Panerai in 2012. At 37, he holds a doctorate in sciences from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in France, and four master degrees — in mechanical engineering, material sciences, the environment and business. Dreyer is both the company’s innovator and the manager of its research department of 50 people, many of them engineers like himself.

During our interview, we mostly talked about the Luminor Due Collection of Panerai which attracted a great deal of attention by the new series with 38mm diameter cases. We also talked about the brand’s high-complication novelties like the PAM00920 and the sensational Lo Scienziato which is one of the most exciting models of the exhibition.
