IWC showed up with two models in the pilot's watch product group. The models in the Top Gun series draw attention with their white ceramic and matte black Ceratanium® cases.
One of the models, Lake Tahoe (Ref:IW389105), is inspired by the white uniforms of the US Navy, as well as the winter landscape surrounding Lake Tahoe and the area around it, located very close to Naval Air Station Fallon, home to the legendary TOPGUN school of the US Navy.
The 44.5mm white ceramic case hosts a dial with white accents on a black background that offers high legibility. The rubber strap, produced in matching white, is fixed to the wrist with an IWC signed folding clasp.
The inspiration for the Pilot's Watch Chronograph TOP GUN Edition Woodland (Ref:IW389106) is the flight suits of naval aviators. Equipped with a newly developed "Woodland Green" 44.5mm ceramic case and dial, the numbers and indices on the dial of the model are in a lighter tone. The pushers and case back are made of matte black Ceratanium®. This material, developed by IWC, combines the lightness and structural integrity of titanium with ceramic-like hardness and scratch resistance properties. In accordance with the rest of the watch, the green rubber strap is covered with a fabric lining.
Caliber 69380, designed and produced by IWC, gives life to the models, each of which is limited to 1000 pieces. The automatic chronograph movement offers a power reserve time of up to 46 hours when fully wound.
