IWC added two new Top Gun-themed references to its Pilot's Watch product line. The new models are produced from the brand's patented alloy Ceratanium.

The connection of ceramics, which is among the popular alternative materials of recent years, with IWC goes back a long way. The brand, which started the journey of ceramics in the world of watches in 1986 with the world's first ceramic case watch, Da Vinci Ref: 3755, introduces the first ceramic pilot's watch, Ref: 3705, in 1994. Continuing its work on alternative materials, the manufacturer from Schaffhausen continues its innovative approach with the Ceratanium alloy, which brings together the prominent features of ceramic and titanium.

Pilot's Watch Timezoner Top Gun Ceratanium (Ref. IW395505)

Pilot's Watch Timezoner Top Gun Ceratanium, one of the two models in the newly introduced series, is based on the Timezoner model platform, which draws attention with the brand's user-friendly interpretation of the world time complication.

The sporty case, designed with a diameter of 46mm and a height of 15.1mm, is produced from Ceratanium material this time. On the front of the case, there is a rotatable bezel equipped with a black ceramic insert with the names of the cities. Over the dial, there is a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating and resistance to sudden pressure changes. On the back of the case, the sapphire crystal display welcomes us. Equipped with an onion-shaped screw-in crown, one of the signature details of pilot watches, the case is waterproof up to 60 meters.

The dial, which we are familiar with from other Timezoner models, comes with a matte black background. Equipped with large numeral indices and wide hands with light gray Super-LumiNOVA phosphor material, the dial offers sufficient legibility in almost any environment. The date window at 3 o'clock is accompanied by a triple second time zone indicator added at 12 o'clock. The phrase Timezoner written in red, adds color to the stealth-look model together with the UTC symbol added in the same color.

The Caliber 82760 powers the new model. The automatic movement includes hours, minutes, seconds, date, and second time zone features. With the help of the Pellaton winding system, the in-house movement offers a power reserve time of up to 60 hours.

The model, which will be limited to 500 pieces per year, is accompanied by a textile-lined black rubber strap and a black pin buckle. The list price for the model with the product code Ref: IW395505 is EUR 18,200.

Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar Top Gun Ceratanium (Ref. IW503604)

The other model of the series, Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar Top Gun Ceratanium, hosts features that bring a breath of fresh air to the brand's legendary Big Pilot concept.

Designed with a diameter of 46.2mm and a height of 15.4mm, the mighty case is also produced from Ceratanium material. Thanks to the low specific gravity of the material, the case, which we are sure will offer a much more comfortable use compared to models such as steel, gold, and platinum, is waterproof up to 60 meters. On the front of the case, there is a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating and resistance to sudden pressure changes. On the back of the case, is a sapphire crystal display case back. Despite its majestic size, the case, which we think will look a little more compact than it does with its jet-black color palette, is complemented by the screw-in onion-shaped crown, one of the signature details of the pilot's watches.

The complex dial, which provides information about the perpetual calendar feature, has no difficulty in providing sufficient legibility thanks to the light gray phosphorus-filled indices and hands on matte black background. The dial, which host hours, minutes, small seconds (with hack feature), 4-digit date, weekday, month, year, and perpetual calendar, as well as a perpetual moon phase for both Northern and Southern Hemispheres as well as a power reserve indicator, takes on a sporty approach with the use of red accents mixed in between the high-contrast color palette.

The manufacture Caliber 52615 beats at the heart of the model. The automatic movement bearing the signature of the great master Kurt Klaus takes its place among the most refined examples of its kind with its architecture in which all functions, especially the perpetual calendar feature, are controlled by a single crown. Equipped with the patented Pellaton winding system, the micro-engineering marvel movement offers a power reserve of 7 days/168 hours when fully wound.

Another game-changing feature of the new model is the metal bracelet made of the same material as the case. The bracelet, which consists of H-shaped links,  positively affects the wearing comfort and highlights the Tool Watch DNA, which is at the core of the model, at the same time.

The list price for the model (Ref: IW503604), which will be limited to 150 units per year, is EUR 46,800.
